NFL Monday Night Football Live Streaming Free New York Giants vs San Francisco 49ers Game Week 10

Watch Monday Night Football New York Giants vs San Francisco 49ers live streaming Free NFL Playoffs Week 10 Online, Monday 12 November 2018, NFL online live with HD quality on PC, Laptop, iPhone, Ipad and Android over the Internet. It’s Will be kick of at Levi’s Stadium, Santa Clara, California, United States, Time 08:15 PM (ET) broadcast on NFL Network, CBS, Fox Sports, NBC, ESPN and and Online.

The New York Giants and San Francisco 49ers are in a heated battle for the No. 1 spot. Sadly, that spot isn’t related to team rankings or Super Bowl chances. It’s a battle for the No. 1 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Overall, the two teams have a combined 3-14 record as we’ve reached the halfway point of the 2018 season. Injuries have played a part, especially for San Francisco.

The 49ers lost quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo after signing him to a five-year contract extension worth up to $137.5 million during the offseason. On top of losing their franchise quarterback for the year, the 49ers were forced to put running backs Jerick McKinnon and Raheem Mostert on injured reserve as well, the former before the season even started.

As of right now, it looks like the Monday night showdown will remain at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. That notion isn’t a foregone conclusion, however.

Due to excessive smoke from the fires in Northern California, the 49ers have already been forced to adjust their practice schedule this week. That known fact already makes things more interesting, as it’s unknown how much that will affect the team’s play on Monday.

Either way, there’s going to be a lot more than football on people’s mind when things kick off.

The Giants have fielded one of the league’s worst offensive lines this season. Nate Solder, who signed a four-year, $62 million free agent contract in the offseason, hasn’t played up to his paycheck.

Neither did the team’s other free agent signing, offensive guard Patrick Omameh. His poor play is one of the major reasons why he was cut on Saturday. The other reason was the team being awarded former Rams starting guard Jamon Brown off waivers.

Brown was drafted by the Rams in the third round of the 2015 NFL draft. In three and a half seasons, he played in 42 games with 30 starts, including 16 in 2017. The emergence of Austin Blythe for Los Angeles is what made Brown expendable.

Mullens isn’t a name that a lot of people were going to know heading into last Thursday’s matchup between the 49ers and Oakland Raiders. The undrafted free agent out of Southern Miss had never been close to meaningful game action in the NFL, after all.

After playing a pivotal part of handing the Raiders a 34-3 beatdown, all of that had changed. Everyone seemed to know who Mullens was, including Twitter.

The 23-year-old who rewrote some of Brett Favre’s records at Southern Miss completed 72.7 percent of his passes for 262 yards and three touchdowns. His 151.9 passer rating meant that the 6-foot-1, 210-pound quarterback had put up one the most impressive starting debuts in NFL history.

The over/under for this game seems a little bit low at 44.5 points. Some of that is the result of a questionable quarterback matchup, but let’s also not forget about the key injuries the 49ers have on both sides of the football.

Linebacker Reuben Foster and safety Jaquiski Tartt are important pieces for San Francisco, and neither of them will be available on Monday night. To make matters worse, Mullens will be without one of his favorite targets, Pierre Garcon. The veteran receiver led the team in targets (5) last week.

As much as Eli Manning has struggled this season, the Giants look to be as healthy as they have been in a while. That bodes well for New York’s chances of getting its second win of the season.

NFL Kansas City Chiefs vs Denver Broncos Live Streaming Free 2018 Monday Night Football 01 September 2018

NFL Monday Night Football Kansas City Chiefs vs Denver Broncos live streaming Free 2018 Online Week 04 on Monday 01 October 2018, NFL Monday Night Game online live with HD quality on PC, Laptop, iPhone, Ipad and Android over the Internet. It’s Will be kick of at Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City, Missouri, United States. Time 08:15 PM (ET). NFL MNF broadcast on NFL Network, CBS, Fox Sports, NBC, ESPN and online Free.

Week 4 of the 2018 NFL season has already been the most exciting week of the year. Incredibly, the league’s most exciting team through the first three weeks hasn’t even played yet.

Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are the highest-flying show on TV this season, and they’re set to take on their division rival Denver Broncos in Denver on “Monday Night Football.” The Chiefs and Broncos seemingly always play wild games when they get together for primetime contests, and this should should be no different.

Considering the stakes — Kansas City is looking to move to 4-0 and stake out a huge division lead, while the Broncos are attempting to tie the Chiefs’ record at 3-1 and move into first place by virtue of the tiebreaker — it should be extremely interesting to watch (8:20 p.m., ESPN) how it all goes down. What should we be looking for? Read on to find out.

When the Broncos have the ball
The Chiefs’ defense has been — to be as kind as humanly possible — utterly terrible so far this season. Kansas City has yielded 6.7 yards per play, 30th in the NFL. They’ve given up a touchdown or field goal on 48.4 percent of opponents’ drives, the worst figure in the league; and they’ve created a turnover on only 3.2 percent of drives, also the worst figure in the league. And all this despite Kansas City’s opponents beginning drives with the worst average starting field position in all of football. Yeah, it’s that bad.

So, the Broncos have a pretty good chance to get their offense back on track after a sub-par performance against the Baltimore Ravens a week ago. Case Keenum has looked extremely ordinary so far this season, completing only 61 percent of his passes at 6.9 yards per attempt while throwing three touchdowns against five interceptions. But the Chiefs are allowing opponents to complete 66 percent of their passes at 8.0 yards per attempt, with eight touchdowns and just one interception. They’ve gotten a sack on only 4.1 percent of opponent drop backs, the fourth-lowest rate in the league.

Their pass defense ranks 30th in DVOA, per Football Outsiders, and has been particularly vulnerable to pass-catching tight ends and running backs. Keenum already has 13 completions for 117 yards to tight ends this season, as well as 12 for 96 yards to running backs. The Chiefs have been absolutely dreadful defending short passes, meaning they could yield Keenum some easy throws that allow him to get into a rhythm and make the kind of intermediate-to-deep passes he prefers to players like Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas.

Sanders has been Keenum’s most efficient target thus far this season, while Thomas has struggled to really get on track and is averaging a career-low 9.0 yards per reception. Perhaps working against Orlando Scandrick will be good for him, as Thomas has a distinct size advantage there and can use his body to shield the smaller corner from the ball and fight for yards after the catch.

Though the Chiefs have been damaged most often through the air, it would be reasonable to expect the Broncos to lean on a run game that has been quite efficient so far. The combination of rookies Royce Freeman and Phillip Lindsay has Denver averaging 5.2 yards per rush, fifth in the league. The Broncos already have the NFL’s fourth-most rushing yards and, well, the KC defense has also been dreadful against the run. The Chiefs are yielding … 5.2 yards per rush, third-worst in the NFL, and 26.6 percent of all carries against them have resulted in a first down. They’re missing tackles left and right, allowing opposing backs to gain 3.58 yards per carry after contact. All of this indicates Freeman and Lindsay could have a pretty big night if Denver’s blocking is on point.

When the Chiefs have the ball
We have spent a whole lot of time in this space extolling the virtues of the Chiefs’ passing offense. Just last week, for example, we dedicated a significant portion of our Chiefs-49ers preview detailing exactly how good Patrick Mahomes and company had been through the first two weeks of the season.

Mahomes’ 10 touchdown passes during the first two weeks of the season are an NFL record, and half of those touchdowns have come on passes that traveled at least 15 yards in the air. He’s 12 of 18 for an incredible 332 yards and five scores on such throws, good for a completely ridiculous 149.3 passer rating.

Mahomes has been dominant in just about every split imaginable, but a few important ones stick out in terms of highlighting how well Andy Reid’s play-calling has put him in position to succeed.

On throws to the middle of the field, according to data from Sports Info Solutions, Mahomes is 23 of 30 for 317 yards and seven scores. That means 30 of Mahomes’ 55 pass attempts have gone to the middle, now the most fruitful area of the field due to the dual evolution of defenses and NFL rules.

Because of the sheer amount of speed and athleticism the Chiefs sport at every skill position, teams have often resorted to playing zone against them, providing Mahomes with wider throwing lanes than if every individual receiver had an assigned cover man. Against zone coverages, he has completed 31 of 41 passes for 279 yards and eight touchdowns.

Using all that talent to spread the defense out as wide as possible has also been fruitful, and it should not be surprising that Mahomes has had incredible success working out of the empty formations he used so often at Texas Tech; he’s completed 13 of 17 passes for 187 yards and three touchdowns when the Chiefs split five receivers out wide.

Then Mahomes came out and completed 24 of 38 passes for 314 yards, three touchdowns and zero picks against the 49ers. So, yeah, he’s still on fire. Mahomes leads the NFL in touchdown passes despite playing one fewer game than almost every team in the league. He also leads the NFL in touchdown rate. (The percentage of pass attempts that turn into touchdowns.) He leads the NFL adjusted net yards per attempt. And he leads the NFL in passer rating. He primarily spreads the ball around to tight end Travis Kelce (16 catches, 229 yards, two touchdowns) and wide receivers Tyreek Hill (14-310-3) and Sammy Watkins (14-176-1); but players like Chris Conley (5-45-2) and the Chiefs’ running backs (9-112-2 combined) also chip in.

But because you’ve undoubtedly heard so much about just how good Kansas City’s pass offense has been, it seems wise to spend time examining what has held back the team’s run offense. Kansas City is averaging just 3.9 yards per rush, 21st in the NFL. Kareem Hunt — who began last season by rushing for 401 yards and four touchdowns on 47 carries during the first three games of the year — has gained only 168 yards on his 52 carries, and has not gained longer than 16 yards on any of them. (By this time last year, he had five runs longer than that, including three touchdown runs of 50 yards or more.)

Kansas+City+Chiefs+vs+Denver+Broncos
So, what’s the issue? Is it blocking? Well, Sports Info Solutions credits Chiefs offensive linemen with precisely zero blown run blocks so far. But not having blown any blocks doesn’t mean that the blocks they haven’t blown have actually been good. The ball-carrier has been stopped in the backfield on 21 percent of Kansas City’s carries, per Football Outsiders, 19th in the league. And the Chiefs rank 26th in FO’s Adjusted Line Yards, which assigns credit to the offensive line in the run game based on a percentage of yards gained per carry. Hunt is averaging just 0.85 yards before contact per carry, per data culled from Sports Info Solutions. That figure ranks 51st among the 65 running backs with at least 10 carries so far this season. (To his credit, Hunt has already broken seven tackles in the run game, tied for fifth-most in the NFL. He also showed terrific tackle-breaking ability as a rookie.)

Is Monday the night that Hunt finally breaks loose? Maybe not. Denver’s run defense has been fantastic thus far, ranking fifth in Football Outsiders’ run defense DVOA. The Broncos have done a wonderful job of tackling in the open field, limiting second-level and open-field yards as well as almost any team in football. They’ve had just three tackles broken on rush attempts and their 2.15 yards after contact allowed per attempt is tied for seventh-best in the NFL. Perhaps the Chiefs can spread them out enough to really get Hunt going — I wouldn’t put anything past this offense at this point — but it does seem like a better bet on Monday night is Mahomes and the pass offense continuing to shine while Hunt gets short-yardage opportunities and chips in as a pass-blocker and pass-catcher out of the backfield.

Prediction: Chiefs 30, Broncos 24

The Los Angeles Rams, led by quarterback Jared Goff, meet the Oakland Raiders, led by quarterback Derek Carr, in a Week 1 NFL regular season game on Monday Night Football on Monday, September 10, 2018 (9/10/18) at Oakland Coliseum in Oakland, California.

The first Monday night of the 2018 NFL season features two games. In the early slate, we’ve got the Detroit Lions and the New York Jets, but in the late game, we’ve got the upstart Los Angeles Rams paying a visit to Jon Gruden and the Oakland Raiders.

LA and Oakland were two of the busiest teams in the NFL this offseason, with the Rams going on the league’s biggest shopping spree and the Raiders handing Gruden $100 million to leave the announcer’s booth and return to the sideline. Once they get on the field, however, it seems fairly clear that one of these teams has a major advantage over the other in almost every area of the game.

Let’s walk through exactly why the Rams seem so likely to take the Raiders to school on Monday night.

The Rams had one of the NFL’s best defenses last season, ranking 12th in points allowed (seventh in points allowed per drive) and sixth in defensive efficiency, as determined by Football Outsiders’ defensive DVOA. They then went out and added more defensive talent than anybody in the league this offseason.

First came a trade for star Chiefs cornerback Marcus Peters, who has more interceptions than any player in the NFL since he entered the league. They followed that up with a deal for former Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib, who has been one of the best defensive backs in the league for years. And after he was cut loose by the Dolphins, the Rams then brought in Ndamukong Suh, giving them the best interior defensive line duo in the NFL now that Suh is paired with Aaron Donald in the middle of Wade Phillips’ defense.

Monday Night Football Stream Los Angeles Rams vs Oakland Raiders
In other words, it is going to be unbelievably difficult to move the ball and/or score points against the 2018 Los Angeles Rams.

The Rams already had one of the NFL’s best pass defenses, as Phillips’ unit ranked 12th in yards allowed per attempt, fifth in opponents passer rating, and third in pass defensive DVOA in 2017. They were strong against the pass in every area: 12th in DVOA against No. 1 receivers, fourth against No. 2 receivers, seventh against all other receivers, 19th against tight ends, and ninth against running backs. They were 11th on passes to the left side, fourth on passes to the middle and fifth on passes to the right; fifth against deep passes and ninth against short passes. They essentially had zero weaknesses. And now they have upgrade in a big way at three of the most important positions on defense. It stands to reason that they’ll be even more difficult to throw against in 2018.

The Lions may not have a “four-headed monster” at running back like Jets coach Todd Bowles suggested, but they certainly feel good about the moves they made to improve the ground game this offseason.

Either LeGarrette Blount or Kerryon Johnson will start at running back Monday, and that duo plus Theo Riddick give the Lions a versatile backfield. The Lions should be better on their offensive line just by virtue of being healthy, and Johnson has transformative potential. But until we see the ground game in action, this is still the team that ranked last in the NFL in rushing last year.

The Jets weren’t a great run defense in 2017, but they do have a formidable space-eater in the middle in 32-year-old Steve McLendon. Leonard Williams is the Jets’ best lineman, and Avery Williamson is a reliable tackler, but Williamson’s cohort at inside linebacker, Darron Lee, has taken heat recently from Detroit native Bart Scott for lacking toughness.

While the Lions’ running game remains a curiosity, the passing game is no such thing. In Marvin Jones, Golden Tate and Kenny Golladay, the Lions have one of the better receiving trios in the league. Jones is a proven deep threat, Tate does most of his damage out of the slot, and Golladay is the big-bodied wildcard entering his second season.

Matthew Stafford is coming off a year in which he threw for 4,446 yards and completed 65.7 percent of his passes, but also committed 17 turnovers. He was the victim of poor pass protection (a career-high 47 sacks). If that improves, the turnovers should come back down.

The Jets ranked in the bottom third of the NFL in both interceptions and takeaways last season, so they went out and signed the best cornerback on the market in Trumaine Johnson. He wins with his length and physicality, and he should see plenty of time on Jones. The Jets don’t have much in the way of pass rush, though Bowles is known for his creative blitz packages.

With Bilal Powell as their lead back and plenty of unfavorable game scripts, the Jets still finished as a middle-of-the-pack rushing team last year. They added Isaiah Crowell in the offseason and are committed to giving young quarterback Sam Darnold the support of a running game.

Crowell is a downhill runner who should help the Jets stay on schedule on offense. He averaged 4.5 yards per carry with the Cleveland Browns the last two seasons. Powell is the change-of-pace back, a good receiver who can get to the edge in the Jets’ zone-blocking scheme. The Jets didn’t get great play out of their offensive line in the preseason, and their five starters didn’t play a single snap together in exhibition games.

The Lions saw their run defense fall apart in the second half of last season, then overhauled their front seven to account for a new scheme this spring. Sylvester Williams is a stout nose tackle who occupies space, and the Lions need big games from linebackers Jarrad Davis and Christian Jones against the run to force Darnold out of his comfort zone.

Watch Monday Night Football Live Streaming Los Angeles Rams vs San Francisco 49ers Live Online Week 01 match will be kick off at Levi’s Stadium,Santa Clara, California, United States, 12 September 2016 online, Time 10:20 ET and its broadcast CBS, ESPN, NFL Network Online.

Live_watch1115
The second game of a Monday Night Football double-header will feature the San Francisco 49ers playing host to their NFC West rival Los Angeles Rams. Tonight will mark the first time since the 1994 season that the Rams will take the field for a regular season football game under the Los Angeles moniker. A new era also begins for San Francisco under new head coach Chip Kelly.

The Rams finished out the 2015 season with a disappointing record of 7-9. However, they did manage to win three of their last four contests, which lends hope for a promising 2016. The 49ers were able to hand the Rams that lone loss to close out the season, a 19-16 win in overtime, but a dismal overall record of 5-11 landed them in the cellar of the NFC West and ultimately led to the firing of Jim Tomsula after just one full season as head coach.

The Rams and 49ers have faced off at least twice a year, every year, dating all the way back to 1950, making it one of the oldest active series in NFL history. Tonight’s game will mark the 134th meeting between the Rams and 49ers. It has been a hotly contested rivalry over the years with the 49ers holding a 66-64-3 edge over their once again in-state foe. The series was split in 2015 with each team claiming victory at home.

Kickoff: Monday, Sept. 12 at 10:20 pm ET
TV: ESPN
Spread: Los Angeles -2.5

It’s probably fair to say that Gurley will be the best player on the field tonight. So, it stands to reason that he should be a focal point in tonight’s matchup. The 2015 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year took the league by storm, rushing for 1,106 yards and 10 touchdowns on just 229 carries.

Gurley was particularly effective in his lone appearance against the 49ers last season. In that game, he totaled 146 yards, scored a touchdown and averaged 6.7 yards per carry. He will likely have a field day once again against a 49ers defense that ranked just 29th in the league against the run last season. The Niners’ defense also gave up 20 rushing touchdowns in 2015, tying them with Atlanta for the most allowed in the NFL.

The Rams’ offense is somewhat one-dimensional, giving San Francisco every reason to stack the box in its best effort to slow Gurley. But it will be a tall order for a young 49ers defense that did little to improve itself in the offseason. Look for a big dose of Gurley tonight.

Kelly had more than his fair share of critics when he decided to bring his radical spread attack to the NFL. For the most part, the nay-sayers were proven right as Kelly’s offense sputtered and played a big role in his firing in Philadelphia. One of the biggest reasons attributed to his failure in Philadelphia is that he brought in players that were incapable of running his system. Therein lies the problem with his transition to San Francisco.

Kelly inherited a roster that may be even less suited to run his offense than the one that flopped in Philadelphia. He has a slow-footed quarterback in Blaine Gabbert. Carlos Hyde is an outstanding running back, but much like DeMarco Murray, Hyde excels as a downhill runner in an offense that employs a power run game. And outside of Torrey Smith at wide receiver and Joe Staley at tackle, the rest of the offensive supporting cast is nothing to write home about.

Kelly’s offense could work in San Francisco given the time to build and mold a roster that suits his style. However, it isn’t in place for tonight’s game, and it never materialized in Philadelphia. The Rams are no juggernaut on defense, but Chip Kelly’s Week 1 offense might just create that illusion.

Los+Angeles+Rams+vs+San+Francisco+49ers+Live+Free+Monday+Night+Football
Neither team possesses a high-powered offense that is capable of consistently finding the end zone. Regardless, there should be ample opportunity to get into field goal range. There were a total of nine field goals attempted when these teams faced off last January. There is a good chance that the kicking game will loom large again tonight.

In two games against the Rams last season, 49ers kicker Phil Dawson was a perfect six-for-six on field goal attempts. His counterpart, Greg Zuerlein, connected on just four of his seven attempts against the 49ers. In fact, Zuerlein is coming off of the worst season of his career, converting a woeful 66 percent of his field goal attempts in 2015, the lowest percentage in the NFL for a kicker with more than 10 attempts. For comparison’s sake, the always-consistent Dawson connected on 89 percent of his kicks, missing just three all year. If this game comes down to the kicking game, and it very well could, this is one of the few areas in which the 49ers have an advantage.

The Rams will obviously want to lean heavily on the run game with Todd Gurley complemented by a short and intermediate passing game when necessary. Case Keenum will probably take a couple of shots down the field to deep threats Tavon Austin and Kenny Britt as well. Defensively, the Rams will rely heavily on their pass rush with the now healthy Robert Quinn, along with Aaron Donald. The 49ers’ offensive line allowed 53 sacks last season, the second most in the NFL. So, the Rams will surely use their biggest strength on defense to attack San Francisco’s biggest weakness on offense.

Blaine Gabbert threw for 354 yards the last time he faced the Rams, but that was without Carlos Hyde in the backfield. Hyde should be very much involved in tonight’s game plan with a more balanced attack in place overall. On defense, the game plan is simple: stop Gurley and make Keenum beat you with his arm.

It wouldn’t come as a surprise if this game turned into yet another field goal fest. The kicking game could very well end up being the x-factor tonight. But the one true difference-maker in this game is Gurley. If the Rams can get Gurley going early, he will take over, giving the Rams a significant advantage. It should be a relatively low-scoring affair with the Gurley factor proving to be too much for the 49er defense.

Prediction: Rams 20, 49ers 16

Live_watch1115

The Philadelphia Eagles 2015 NFL schedule kicks off on Monday night as the team is scheduled to play the Atlanta Falcons on ESPN Monday Night Football. After a very long offseason, Eagles football is finally back.

This opening game might be the most anticipated Eagles’ season opener in quite some time. The team looked historically dominant in preseason having outscored opponents 83-17 in the first half of the first three exhibition games. Philadelphia’s summer success won’t mean much if the team doesn’t carry over to the real games, but it’s fair to say everyone is really excited about this Eagles team. A lot of media members are now picking the Eagles to win the Super Bowl this year.

Before the hype train gets too out of control, the Eagles need to prove they can win when it counts. One could argue the team is well-equipped to do just that. The Eagles look much different now than they did at the end of the 2014 season. Nick Foles and LeSean McCoy are among the notable players gone. Sam Bradford and DeMarco Murray, whom no one ever expected to be on the Eagles, are now two of Philadelphia’s most important players. The oft-injured Bradford will be playing his first regular season game since 2013, so this is obviously a huge deal for him.

The Eagles are favored to beat the Falcons, and for good reason. There are serious concerns about Atlanta’s shaky offensive line and suspect defense. Philadelphia could take advantage of them in those areas. On the other hand, the Eagles and their new-look secondary will need to prove they can handle the Atlanta passing attack. This one should be entertaining.

Watch Monday Night Football Live Streaming New York Jets vs Buffalo Bills Live Online Week 12 match will be kick off at Ford Field Stadium in Detroit, Michigan, 24 November 2014 online, Time 19:00 ET and its broadcast CBS, ESPN, NFL Network Online.

Live_watch1115
Before attempting to dig their playoff hopes out of a deep hole, the Buffalo Bills will first need to dig themselves out of snow-covered Buffalo.

The New York Jets have been digging for answers all season.

After more than five feet of snow blanketed Buffalo and buried Ralph Wilson Stadium, the Bills will travel to Detroit to play their ‘home’ game against the Jets on Monday night.

The NFL announced the location and change of date on Thursday after a severe lake-effect storm paralyzed much of the Buffalo region. The team intends to travel to Detroit on Friday and practice at the Lions’ facility.

‘We greatly appreciate the hospitality of the Detroit Lions in hosting the Bills and this game,’ NFL spokesman Michael Signora said.

The storm forced the Bills to cancel practice on Wednesday and Thursday because of impassable roads and driving bans in many communities neighboring Ralph Wilson Stadium.

Bills coach Doug Marrone and his staff have been holed up in the team offices since Tuesday. They’ve been going over the game plan and consulting with the team by phone and computer because a majority of the players have been snowed in. And those who can get out are unable to travel.

The next step is devising a way to get all the players and staff to the airport, which has remained open because it is north of where much of the storm hit.

“I’ve never seen anything like it,” said Marrone, who previously coached Syracuse and is from the Bronx downstate. “It’s very difficult to put into words exactly what’s going on.

“Us being able to go out and practice is obviously not an option for us. This is very challenging. It’s a tough, tough situation.”

The Bills (5-5) had last weekend off following a 22-9 loss at Miami on Nov. 13. The second straight defeat has reduced Buffalo’s chances of ending a 14-year playoff drought.

Kyle Orton has his own tough situation as he tries to shake off a toe injury and his worst performance since supplanting EJ Manuel as the starter. He completed 22 of 39 passes for 193 yards while failing to get the Bills into the end zone against the Dolphins.

Continued struggles could lead to Marrone turning back to Manuel, who was largely ineffective through the first four weeks of the season.

Having Fred Jackson back should help. The running back has been hampered by a groin injury that forced him to miss the loss to Miami and limited him to three carries and 10 yards in a defeat to Kansas City on Nov. 9.

“We need all hands on deck,” Jackson said. “I need 100 percent for me to be out there and help my teammates. I think they want me out there. I want to be out there. I want to try to make some plays and get this thing turned around.

“We lost to two (teams) that we’ll be fighting for position with, but there’s always a chance. And anytime you have a chance, you’re going to show up and fight. That’s what I expect out of the guys in this locker room. And that’s what I’m definitely going to do.”

Buffalo has won three of the past four meetings with New York, and Orton tossed four TDs – including a 61-yarder to Sammy Watkins – in a 43-23 road victory in Week 8.

That meeting also marked a change at quarterback for the Jets, who inserted Michael Vick after Geno Smith was intercepted three times on eight passes in the first quarter. Vick went 18 for 36 for 153 yards, but ran for 69 on eight attempts as the Jets rolled up 175 with an average of 5.3 per carry.

“We were in the game and we put ourselves in a position to win the game, but it was all about turnovers,” said Vick, who also committed three turnovers in that defeat. “I think you can go through it and hope that it’s not going to be the same.”

The Jets gained 150 of their 275 yards on the ground while upsetting Pittsburgh 20-13 in Week 10 before entering their bye.

Vick had two touchdown passes against the Steelers, hitting T.J. Graham for a 67-yard strike as the Jets built a 17-0 lead in the first quarter.

Coach Rex Ryan, though, isn’t dwelling on his decision to stick with Smith before eventually turning to Vick.

“You can easily say, ‘Oh, well, we should’ve done this,’ now,” Ryan said. “At the same time, I was comfortable in my decision, not just with Michael, but with the other ones as well. So, I’m not going to spend time looking back.”

At their peak, the Pittsburgh Steelers have shown off an offense so explosive it’s looked capable of making them one of the NFL’s elite teams.

At their worst, they’ve played beneath the low level of some pretty dreadful competition.

A week after laying their latest egg against one of the NFL’s worst teams, the Steelers get a crack at another one Monday night as they visit the Tennessee Titans.

Pittsburgh (6-4) had its best rushing day in eight years with 264 yards in a 37-19 win at Carolina in Week 3, then lost at home to Tampa Bay the following Sunday in a result that remains the Buccaneers’ lone victory.

Ben Roethlisberger took his turn as the star in wins over Indianapolis and Baltimore to cap the Steelers’ 3-0 midseason homestand, throwing six touchdown passes in back-to-back weeks as Pittsburgh put up 94 points, but once again the shelf life on Pittsburgh’s positivity was short.

The Steelers fell behind 17-0 after one quarter last Sunday against the Jets, and Roethlisberger’s lone TD pass came with just 1:16 left in a 20-13 loss to a New York team that was 1-8 coming in.

“It’s the NFL, if you don’t show up ready to play your type of game, you’re going to lose,” wide receiver Lance Moore said. “Our last game was a perfect example of that. We’re hot. We came in high and mighty and a team came in and played better than us.”

Struggling against some of the league’s lightweights has been a somewhat alarming trend since Mike Tomlin’s arrival in 2007, particularly away from home. Pittsburgh has played nine road games in the second half of its schedule against teams with a sub-.300 winning percentage, and the Jets loss was its sixth in those contests.

The Steelers have a minus-15 turnover differential in those games.

“The ability is there, it’s just about going out and doing it,” defensive end Cam Heyward told the team’s official website. “We have to have our focus and mindset on the Titans this week. We can’t forget what happened, but we have to move past it. We have to move in the right direction and clean up the stuff that put us in trouble this past week.”

Pittsburgh’s early hole against the Jets continued another noteworthy road trend. Since the start of last season, the Steelers have been outscored 88-26 in the first quarter away from Heinz Field. They’ve held an 85-56 edge in the first 15 minutes at home.

Tomlin’s team has allowed an NFL-high 36 points on its opponents’ first offensive possession, but the Titans (2-7) have only come away with one field goal the first time they’ve had the ball.

Tennessee looked great in the first quarter last Sunday at Baltimore before reverting back to the form that’s seen it score the league’s fewest points. The Titans had 142 yards and a 7-0 lead after 15 minutes but were held to 68 yards on 30 plays the rest of the way in a 21-7 loss.

“Early in the first half we did a lot of good things to kind of counteract their guys,” rookie quarterback Zach Mettenberger said. “We just got to continue to … play like that for 60 minutes.”

Mettenberger hasn’t been bad in his first two starts, completing 63.2 percent of his passes with three TDs and two interceptions, but he’ll want to focus on getting the ball out sooner against Pittsburgh. Baltimore switched to primarily zone coverage after its banged-up secondary struggled in man, and Mettenberger was sacked five times over the final three quarters while struggling with his reads.

“You try to have an internal clock, that lets you know when it’s time, but with the defensive linemen that they have, the clock goes a lot faster,” Mettenberger said. “I know I need to play a lot smarter. This is a quarterback driven league and I have to play better.”

Mettenberger’s task could be tougher without tight end Delanie Walker, who leads the team with 512 receiving yards but is questionable after being carted off against the Ravens with a concussion. Walker was cleared to practice this past week, but must be checked by an independent neurologist before he can play.

The Steelers have eight sacks in two games this month but have allowed four of the five QBs they’ve faced on the road to post a passer rating of at least 109.3, though the outlier also happened to be a rookie from the AFC South. Pittsburgh pressured Blake Bortles into a pair of interceptions in a Week 5 win at Jacksonville, improving to 18-2 against rookie signal-callers since Dick LeBeau returned as defensive coordinator in 2004.

Opening more holes in the running game could be just as significant in boosting that record as confusing Mettenberger. The Steelers have run for just 91 yards on 42 carries in their past two games, and haven’t scored on the ground since Week 3.

Le’Veon Bell and LeGarrette Blount might find the Titans’ defense slightly more accommodating. Tennessee has allowed an AFC-worst 4.53 yards per carry since October, including 363 yards and four touchdowns in its last two losses.

The Steelers were held to 31 yards on 15 carries as Bell missed a 16-9 Week 1 loss to the Titans last season.

Monday Night Football (MNF) is a live broadcast of the National Football League on ESPN. From 1970 to 2005 it aired on ABC. Monday Night Football was, along with Hallmark Hall of Fame and the Walt Disney anthology television series, one of the longest-running prime time commercial network television series ever, and one of the highest-rated, particularly among male viewers.

Monday Night Football can also be seen in Canada on TSN and RDS, and in most of Europe on ESPN America. On September 7, 2013, The NFL announced that British Eurosport would show Monday Night games live for the 2013 and 2014 seasons.[1] In most of Australia it airs on ESPN Australia, in Portugal on SportTV 3 and SportTV HD and on TV 2 Sport in Denmark, and in some other regions of the world outside the U.S. on ESPN International. A Spanish-language version airs on ESPN Deportes in the U.S. and on ESPN International in Latin America. The games are also made available on regular over-the-air television stations in each participating team’s local market so that households without cable television can still see the telecast. Is also available in Portuguese on ESPN Brasil.

As of October 8, 2012, the Monday Night Football franchise had aired a total of 667 games.

On September 8, 2011, the first day of the 2011 regular season, ESPN extended its contract for Monday Night Football for another eight seasons, giving it rights to the broadcasts until 2021. The new deal, valued between $14.2 billion and $15.2 billion, also gives them rights to expanded highlights, international and digital rights, and possibly a Wildcard game. Cable television operators condemned the new contract, noting that ESPN has the highest retransmission consent fees of any national cable television channel, nearly five times higher than the nearest competitor (TNT), and raises fees on an annual basis.

On April 22, 2014, the NFL announced that it had exercised the option in ESPN’s new contract to air a wild card playoff game in the 2014-2015 season. It will be the first NFL playoff game ever to be aired on cable. ESPN will also hold exclusive rights to the Pro Bowl from 2015 through 2022 as part of the new rights agreement.
